Facilities Planning and Management Reorganization

About the Reorganization

In June 2024, Facilities Planning and Management launched a strategic reorganization with a clear vision:

  • Build a collaborative culture
  • Streamline processes and enhance efficiency
  • Form integrated teams with dedicated experts
  • Provide exceptional customer service

As of July 1, 2025, the reorganization is complete. The reorganization combines expertise from all areas - custodial services, campus services, facilities maintenance, and construction projects - on a single team assigned to a designated service area (neighborhood).

The Neighborhood Model

Under the new structure, most members of the Facilities Planning and Management team are assigned to a specific area of campus, known as a "neighborhood", where they provide focused, personalized service and support. Four service neighborhoods -- Cardinal, Gold, Land Grant, and Spirit -- are supported by a cross-functional service team committed to delivering consistent, high-quality customer care. This model ensures that every corner of campus receives expert attention, faster response times, and a more connected experience.
